WT&L is an Ohio corporation devoted to the highest principles of conducting
business with honorable character. It was started in 2001 with a vision in mind—
to supply a variety of logistics services to customers who want to focus more on
producing and selling their products than getting tangled up in a supply chain
that was a burden instead of a critical element of their commerce.
Since 2001 WT&L has provided its quality products and services to a growing base
of customers. This includes the lease and sale of various types of railcars and
locomotives and their corresponding parts; conducting special projects for a
variety of companies from major Fortune 100 corporations to small businesses;
and has provided a marketplace for customers to manage rates, railcar fleet
operations, and multiple customer service issues. In August 2009 all logistics
services were moved into a new company, Iron Horse Logistics Services (www.ihlogistics.com). This allows WT&L
to focus its resources on developing a depot for rail equipment and parts with
the contacts, ideas, and relationships to meet customer demands and needs.
Ownership of rail equipment, whether through purchase or lease, requires
planning and understanding of the markets, financial implications, and carrier
issues related to private equipment for customers. WT&L works together with
customers to ensure the facts are considered and customer needs are met,
ensuring customers understand the implications of adding rail assets. This
includes disclosure of information and developing confidence in the value of
working with WT&L to provide the right assets at the right pricing with the
right terms. .
